OK, on just the drivers door the one touch will drop the window OK, but not lift it. I have tried the drop and hold the button, lift and hold the button routine and no difference. I have also given the window channel a squirt of silicon spray.

I do have VCDS if that helps, but can't see anything obvious - but then I don't really know what I am looking for.

    Thanks,
    Paul.

If you can lift it perhaps try the reset.

Thanks for the reply - that's the drop & hold, lift & hold I mentioned, unless there's some nuance to it I missed.

    RESOLVED! - faulty switch.

I noticed the switches all are two stage - nudge the window or all the way. Nothing happened on the first stop with the driver's door, and second position was the nudge.

Popped the switch off and had a look - the switch itself was physically damaged - possibly yanked a bit hard at some point - it I held the back of the switch down and lifted the front it worked as expected.

Replacement arrived today, fitted, and all working as expected.

The switch panel is a but snug, isn't it!

Dooohhhhh, my front passenger window is suffering the same and return to default does not sort it.

It's the drivers side passenger switch that is at fault so a complete new module is required. VW quoted £50 so that's not too bad.
