    Hi Everyone

Old member returns and hope I can still get great help, I just picked up our passat knowing that blower is not working which is common problem, after lot of swearing managed to get glove box out and pulled motor out, hard wired motor and is spinning so looks like Resistor, now I have a bit of problem is not the normal one with resistor visible, mine looks like large box with some alloy fins, now I have power going in to that box but nothing comeing out on the other end where plug from blower motor plugs in, so I think that is the problem, now question is where can I get one from??? Ebay?

    Thanks in Advance

Brand new are from £40 to £60 (******* - online car parts store with over 1 million auto parts) but there is a repair solution available for your existing unit (these guys assume a £100 replacement cost via the dealer however so their repair cost might still be more than the new aftermarket unit).

    Audi Seat Skoda VW Resistor

    Hope this helps.

Thank You very much this is great help, I assume if motor is spinning when hooked up to 12v direct then this would point to Resistor/Control Unit, I know there is power going in to that part but then nothing comes out towards fan plug, asking just in case I should check something else.

    Any preference Febi to SWAG???

No preference as SWAG and Febi are both brands owned by the German born Bilstein Group.
