Audi A4 B8 2012, driver seat clunk, click, rattle.

Hi all,

I have a 2012 Audi A4 2.0D. I've been experiencing a clunking noise from under the drivers seat. It only occurs at low speed mainly from taking off to coming to a standstill and occasionally on cornering. It sounds like plastic on plastic, I've removed the seat and checked under the carpet and ducting to see if there were any coins which found their way down there but found nothing.

I've been searching for a while now and have come across several posts but none with a solution yet, has anyone had this issue and found a resolution?

In my experience these driver's seats are a PITA. My backrest is loose on mine and it's only done 65k! I think I read somewhere that it's down to the framework which needs replacing. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable can offer more advice?

Hi Bear,

Do you have the same issue with yours? I have read somewhere that there's something inside the framework which can come loose so would be interested to know if there's a quick fix without ripping the whole seat apart because, it's know really winding me up and I can feel myself constantly listening out for it instead of turning the radio up!
