when i was ordering mine about a month ago i was told and the brochure confirmed, that running boards were not an option on the version of the SQ i am going for (Vorsprung). i dont have all wheel steering so not sure what the issue is as i wanted them. i have seen SQ's with them (look great) so have no idea.
If someone knows why i would love to hear?

Doss vorsprung not come with all wheel steering as part of the package? That's the only reason I'm aware of unless it's a wheel size constraint perhaps (I'll do some digging)

no it doesnt one of the very few things it doesnt come with that i would have liked (heated screen also).
22" alloys is a good shout but the Q7 Vorsprung is spec'ed with running boards and 22".
see page 24 of the below. Noticed you cant spec the normal SQ7 with them either

All wheel steering is part of the dynamic pack

and as Andy says it’s due for some reason if you have rear wheel steer fitted

like you say there is no choice or op to spec this but unless is no pre drilled holes there is no reason why you can’t have it fitted at a later date
its just one of them things Audi choose not to inc or a choice when ordering

if you not got rear wheel steer and want running boards have them fitted by the dealer or get some after market ones

the MY18 Audi’s seem to drop quite a few things compared to the MY15-16 Q7

the MY Q7 even came with a jack the MY16 didn’t same as they now dropped sepang blue and turbine wheels and loads of other stuff
shame that

regardless your love the SQ7 and will look stunning with leather dash and trim and will turn a lot of heads from looks to noise

Hi everyone, I am new to the forum, having had my q7 since 2006!, am about to take delivery of a sq7 and enjoy the power upgrade, but the vehicle I am buying does not have any running boards, which my current q7 does, has anyone managed to have them added afterwards? I did look at the long thread on running boards and as the my sq7 has dynamic driving pack, therefore rear wheel steering, I can see people saying it is not possible, I am getting an 2017, 66 plate if this makes a difference, if anyone can guide would be much appreciated.

i have to say I have learnt so much over the last couple of days since finding this forum, so thank you everyone.
