    Hey all

This is a 2014 B7 (only done 18K). Its on lease and fully maintained.

Theres this creaky noise when i turn the wheel. It does appear to be coming from behind the wheel, like maybe its catching the airbag?

Took it to dealers last week and they replaced the console bushes (Suspension - consoles bushes split causing creaking noise- replaced under warranty)

But that sound is still there.

I will obviously take it back but any ideas what it could be? Could it be the power steering fluid?

    Thanks

I had similar thing on my old B5 A4 Audi. Topping up the fluid cleared the issue.

    Hi,
My 14 plate B7, 3 years old 53k miles has had a strange noise for some while.
It sounds like a clicking/scraping sound - I imagine a short piece of spring steel 'clicking' against a ratchet. Most noticeable when maneuvering at low speed. Occurs R to L and L to R.
The dealer said it was cured by: "fitting new clock spring" somewhere behind the steering wheel boss in Sept 16. They claimed on road test that there was no knocking noise, but there hadn't been one in the first place.
This seemed to lessen but not eliminate the clicking, which has gradually returned to previous volume.
They also fitted the steering wheel slightly out of alignment which was straightened FoC at a later visit. I thought marking the wheel position and replacing it correctly was basic!
I've got a 5 year warranty so will arrange a mechanic to ride and listen to it - maybe I'll get it fixed?

I don't know if this relates to your creaky noise yus786 but it sounds similar.

    Hope this helps.
