Have a 2013 Alltrack. Reversing sensors just packed up, there's a loud tone when ignition is switched on, which I think is a fault indication. Looked at some YouTube advice, - switching ignition on, engaging reverse and listening for a 'ticking' from the sensors. None of them 'tick'. Any advice please? Booked into VW dealer next week who want £86 just to look at it.. Don't have any diagnostic gear. Inverness area..

I had something similar and had to get an auto electrician to have a look. Turned out to be a corroded wire on a 13 plate.

Thanks, but I've just discovered that the front sensors don't work either - wonder if the fault is more complicated..?

My car went in to my nearest VW dealer today for a diagnosis on the failed sensors and it's the actual buzzer that's faulty - simply the unit that makes the beeping noise. Cost estimate to replace it?? - £281 !!
Does anyone know where it is? Or where I can get one? It's called H22..
