    Hi everyone

    I have a 2005 1.9 tdi b7

Just changed the front slam panel after a crash and now i get these warnings

Firstly the bonnet open problem , i know there is a microswitch inside the latch , i have removed the connector behind the radiator fans and i still get the the warning , the connector i removed was only for the microswitch. If i remove the main connector close to the power steering fluid resevoir the warning goes away. I dont understand why it doesnt go away after removing the plug for the microswitch

Then the boot open warning , nothing helps besides removing the plug on the boot latch , but then i wont get to open the boot. I did remove the connector while the boot was open and yes the warning did go away

    Can anyone help me?

Could you elaborate please? The new slam panel had a different type of connector and only one radiator fan not two like the old one. So i cut it off and soldered the old connector to the new wiring. If i remove the connector i dont get the warning but there are only 2 wires for the sensor 5 other wires go to other things so i cant keep connector removed

the micro switch will ether complete a circuit when the bonnet is shut or break it.
