    Hi guys quick question.

My sport steering wheel is a liitle plain. I dont have any functions on the steering wheel.

Is it a straight swap for a different steering wheel of the same generation, such as a tt steering wheel ?

    Thanks

You are better getting a donor car with everything on it as you need the slip ring as well. The ecu is different depending on the stereo etc. There is a write up on how to do it on the Web or pm me as I have it somewhere. Oh and you will need to get vcds if you don't already have it

I was thinking about doing the same and was wondering if using a tiptronic wheel from another allroad would be easier with a bit of diy wiring to control volume as thats the thing I miss most particularly with my appradio having flush buttons?

If you PM me your email address I can send you the very comprehensive write up I have found. You can get a feel for the job then. Easily done in a day if you have all of the bits. I didn't bother trying to get the same colour wire just used some single cores from work and made my own harness.

I have put mine in and used an interface to a new double din stereo. 2 of the buttons don't do anything on the wheel now but I have the volume and track skip which is enough for me. Plus I got tiptronic buttons on the wheel as well

As said, i dont have a mulitfunction steering wheel. No controls what so ever. Just want a nicer steering wheel in place of the plain 3 spoke. Just thought another wheel , say from a tt would look better.
