Awesome thanks for that, not sure what the issue is. waiting to hear back from the supplier I bought the lights from but it looks to be the same error on both lights so I highly doubt the fan is not working so I'm hoping it might be a wiring problem that can be easily fixed.

The installer said the lights start up, does its sequence flash and then drops out 40secs after.

Start checking on T14e pin 5 and T14d pin 5 connectors, this is where the main fan gets the earth connection.

There is an additional fan built in the light (called Fan 2 on the wiring diagramm), this fan is built into the light unit, you cannot get it separetly.

    Thanks a million for this!

Great update. Wow, incompatible? What was wrong with the original set that meant they wouldnt work with your car?

That was the set throwing out the temperature warning, they also said it had a few less wires in the connector where mine had more or something along those lines... The original set I purchased was from a 2015 model and I needed 2016 and up in order for it to play nice

While in no position to offer advice as I have just taken delivery of Q7 e-tron, I do recall reading in pre-purchase documentation that the matrix LED adjusted (LHD-RHD) automatically based on GPS data?

I might of course be raving..

I wish, the car was taken to audi to have the lights calibrated and they were the one's who said needs to be coded for rhd before calibration... Sucks big time!

To the OP - good on you for taking on such a big project!

Is the car back up and running / on the road now? Has there been a blow out in costs or timeframes compared to what you were originally expecting?

Are you having to 'to and fro' between Sydney and Maroochydore? Or are you using a Sydney workshop to do any of the work?

Any other comments on the process for anyone else contemplating doing any of the same mods?
