    Hi,
I am going to replace the front wheel bearings on my 57-plate GT TDI 170bhp Golf.
Does anyone know what size/what tool I require to take the hub nut off?
Also I believe the bearings are bolted to the hub. Does anyone know what size/tool is required to take these bolts out. I have been told they are not a standard size.
    Thanks

Did my son's MK5 golf last year, it had a mix of 27mm regular bolts and M18 12 point splined. I think the bearing to hub casting bolts were M12 splined. I got a set of splined sockets from GSF. It wasn't a difficult job, but the bearings needed some patient persuading to get free! Hope this helps.
