Touran AC fault

[Overdose]

I am currently investigating a fault on my 04 Touran TDi, see below. I have a good ground on pin 1, but nothing on pins 2 or 3. 3 is supply I believe and 2 is signal return.
My problem is that I do not have any wiring diagrams and need to know the source of the supply and its route, i.e. via a relay perhaps?

Would someone please be able to assist? In addition, are the Haynes manuals worth the £15 investment, or are they rather useless?

Have you replaced the G65 sensor?

No, not yet.
I want to make sure that the wiring is correct before replacing components.
So far, I don't have power where I think I should, hence the need for diagrams.

G65 first. Then clear faults. Then run it im assuming its fully gassed. Max cooling ac on. If its still no good measured values vcds look for compressor status coding. Get the code as this will pinpoint why compressor duty cycle is off. Post it. I will help further. When you change g65 just remove wiring plug and unscrew it you wont lose any refrigerant. I do wonder though as in that log it shows output at 2 newton metres... i can and usually fart harder than that.

Thank you for your help, but if I do not have a power supply to the G65, is it likely to make any difference if I fit a new sensor?

I do not have the diagrams, but I'm assuming that VCDS is looking for a signal return on the CAN bus from pin 2. There is no power, so no signal, hence the blank in the AC pressure in measuring blocks, not even a zero.

I suspect a relay rather than a fuse, or perhaps a splice somewhere, as it seems that this is the only AC fault. A total power failure from a ruptured fuse would likely give a different fault code.

Is 2Nm not the measured engine torque at that point in time?

If there is a code condition for ac shut off then there will be no power to the ac compressor plug is the way i see it with boardnetz. Just as when a bulb blows it shuts power supply. Actually thinking about it 2nm is with no revolutions. As shown in your log. Do you have vagcom or something that can read measured values?

Just double checked, yes no power supply to compressor if there is a cut off code. Go to 08 hvac then measured value block 1 field 1 what 2 digit code is shown. Do this with engine running ac on max cooling.

17.0 Compressor shut-off code.

So are you saying that if the compressor receives a shut-off code, no power is supplied to the G65 switch? If this is the case, how does the system know there is a fault with G65?

I'll just run the scan again, but with the engine running as suggested. I'll post the screen grab and/or log.

I have no idea how much gas is in the system. I'll get it booked in for a check.

The way I imagine the system to work, is that the pump will be given the shut-off code from the G65, but this switch would need power to give an "on" signal and no power would show as a short or open switch, just as you would expect if the switch were operated because of a high pressure situation. Without more in depth system info, or a wiring diagram though, I am somewhat scuppered.
