Hi, Engine light became on two days ago and today I read the codes. There are two codes P0674 and P2108. It seems P2108 is more serious.

Are they serious and I can drive while these codes are active as I may not be able to go to a garage in the next couple of days. The car performance is fine and has not changed at all.

I went to the garage and it turned out that the correct code is P3103 V157. The mechanic told me that the solenoid maybe faulty but later he found out that the inlet manifold membrane is not working properly and not the whole unit. The whole unit costs too much and now my question is that is it possible to find the membrane only or does anyone know websites to buy second hand parts as I dont want to spend too much and it is an old AUDI.

You dont say what engine you have but that looks like the antishudder flap diaphragm actuator. You'll find the complete valve assembly on ebay or breakers sites, you could try changing just the actuator. The asv flap also acts as a safety engine shut off in case of engine run away due to oil carryover from turbo seal failure etc, so worth getting it sorted.

I have a 2.0 TDI engine diesel. My problem is that I dont know what to look for. Mechanic told me it is inlet manifold membrane, but I could not find anything like that. So I should look for antishudder flap diaphragm actuator (I mean the search keyword)?

You seem to have an older 2 litre engine but posted in the B7 2005-2008 section ? the B7 engine would have an electric actuated antishudder and intake throttle flap combined, upstream of the EGR valve. If you don't know what you're looking for and are unsure what or where it is you'd be best leaving this to a garage, it is a quick job to replace so labour cost should be minimal.

Actually the car is 2006 and not older than 2005. I think I found the part here:

Darkside Developments - Genuine VW PPD170 Intake Manifold Actuator

thank you for your help as I found it based on your guide.

I changed the part. So far I've changed two parts and still the light is on! I also changed the spark glow last week and its code came up again. I have not noticed any issue in the car driving and everything is as before. Is it possible that the car computer generates wrong codes?

Going back to your post #2 , the mechanic said the antishudder actuator diaphragm was bust, you've changed that, so that's good. You are still getting the P3103 (V157) fault code. As far as i can tell on that 2 litre 170 pd engine ( I don't know the 3 letter engine code) you have an intake manifold runner, operated while the engine is running by a motor (V157) at one end (rear flywheel end of the engine) and actuated to (anti shudder) close at engine shutdown by the diaphragm actuator you've just changed, located at the front of the engine. Check the V157 link rod between the motor and runner crank arm is still attached, I once had to fix one of these on a V6 engine as they seem to pop off the ball end connectors. If that's ok see if the runner can actually still move as they tend to carbon up and seize, if that's ok then the fault is possibly in the V157 motor and gear drive itself, which are plastic gears and prone to fail. Look up how to change these motors, if in doubt get a garage to diagnose and fix instead of chucking parts at the car though.
Don't know what you mean by changing the 'spark glow' presume you mean the glow plugs.
