I have 59 plate vw golf 1.6 bluemotion black in colour. Is there anywhere I can get a touch up paint for slight stop chips etc.
Where do I find the correct colour number ?
    Thanks in advance
    Carmine

They'll get your paint code from your VIN, its also listed on the data sticker on the inside cover of your service book and spare wheel well.

Youll find the paint code on a sticker on the boot floor next to spare wheel under carpet. It will read lac/paint then something like ly9z or similar. You will also find the same sticker in the Vehicle service book

Youd be better going to a privately owned small paint mixing shop. In Falkirk we have a shop called economy autopaints which I use daily. They mix up touch up paint in a bottle for £5, you get around 5x as much paint as you do from a manufacturer made touch up stick and your guaranteed the same colour as the manufacturer ones are always different being mass produced
