Vibration Noise from recently acquired 2012 Passat 2.0 TDI

Hi all

I have been reading the forum for a while now but posting for the first time. There seem to be many experts here, I am hoping to get some advice on an issue with my car.

I have recently bought a VW Passat from Cargiant. I have had this terrible vibration noise since day 1 and Cargiant couldn't find anything on two occasions. I have also showed it to my local garage and they can't seem to find a reason behind it. The garage told me that they have checked for any loose fitting but couldn't find anything. The noise comes when the car reaches 2,000 RPMs on sharp acceleration. I hear it almost every time I need to overtake or joining the motorway. It will vibrate for a second or two and then go away till I drop RPMs and accelerate again. I have booked the car for Alan Day VW diagnostics but I am not sure if they will be able to locate this kind of issue. I hope someone here can help me before I waste my money with them. Thanks UMEL. That would make sense as I had a clutch failure so recently had clutch assembly, dual mass wheel and sleeve cylinder replaced by the local garage. Do you think the fitting wasn't done properly or the garage put a dodgy one?

Well, I would say that IS the problem.

you buy car, it has vibration. clutch fails, you have new clutch and dmf, vibrations still there same as before. i think its probably not the clutc or dmf then .. ???

Thanks guys. Yes, the noise was there when I bought the car. Would it be dangerous to keep driving the car on the motorways? This engine noise only comes when accelerating sharply and when the car reaches around 3000 RPMs. I found that I can avoid the noise, If I accelerate very carefully.

How far in ownership did the clutch go ?

The clutch broke within a month of purchase and it's been a couple of weeks since the change.
