    Time for some front pads on my A4. Code =1LT.

    Anyone replaced theirs? wondering which make to go for.... Pagid, Brembo, Bosch, ATE???

    I have allied Nippon on the back and Bosch on the front, guess what! The Bosch squeal!

    Eurocarparts usually have some good deals on Brembo.

    If they squeal, take them out and put a bit of copper grease on the back of the pads.

    Copper anti-seize paste should be used not grease.

    I've got 1LT brakes on the front of mine, just replaced pads and discs both ATE. Used a little 'Copperslip' or equivalent when I put them back together. Brakes fine and not a peep from them

    No I didn't. I looked very carefully when I took them out and unless the lube they used is clear they were clean. Also I didn't want to risk the copper slip attacking the rubber in the plastic guides in the caliper. Maybe I've done the wrong thing but I figured discretion was the best option.
    No doubt someone on the forum may correct me
