    Hi lads,
Yesterday when reversing slowly I hit my exhaust against a high kerb, enough for me to think that I had banged the rear. On inspection there was a bit of paint on the tips, but easily wiped off. I have got under and inspected the welds along the exhaust for as far as my hand had could reach. I don't think there is any damage to the system, but I want to make sure that that's the case. Has this happened to anyone and would you worry about it? I can't believe how precious I am about the car. But at the same time I don't want to be breathing in carbon monoxide. Its a 2.0 Golf Match 2011.

I think you'll find there's enough spring in the exhaust system to absorb a minor tail pipe ding like that, if you're worried get it up on a ramp to check.
