Audi Connect - best and worst features

So I'm finally getting round to sorting out my Audi connect settings and was wondering what folk think about it overall.
Are there any stand out features apart from traffic and fuel prices?

Also before I link up the vehicle to the app are there any potential problems I should know about? I'm thinking security or major issues like car locking feature not working etc rather than off flight times

Using it for voice NAV entry is good too. Something like:

Online destination McDonalds

It then gives you a list and distances and direction. Better for searching for places too.

Don't look at train times

Was there an issue on here somewhere about someone not being able to lock their car? Or that the app was saying the car was unlocked when it wasn't?

That was mine, but to be fair that was only in the first two days of picking up the car,. Post that I can say that it has been accurate.

Funny I should read this now

id never used voice and was driving through a busy town and norm set the nav then if going some where else I'd re add to the nav
but today I added a pit stop if you like and a voice said where would you like to go lol
thinking this won't work
so I said (Polite I must say) supermarkets in (the city of was going to) and to my shock it came up with a list lol
I just selected and followed well cool lol

but all you guys/woman who have a Q7/SQ7 MY17 with embedded sim

do you use your own sim? Or the embedded sim and added data package or can you use both?

if you use just the embedded sim and no subs to extra data package or external sim what services can you use and get?
can you do online map updates etc? And how much of the services can you use? Or is it hardly any?

i know you can use your phone data but found it better to connect the phone and use The WI-Fi as better signal when using the internet
but this is in my MY16 with a 02 data sim

would be great to hear what you use and did?

hearing the sim was embedded I thought you don't have to bother getting a data sim and just use the embedded sim free but I was wrong I guess? And to get proper use from the services ud have to add extra monthly data package through Audi or buy a data sim to slot in and use?

I tried to use the new functionality in iOS 10.3 to do read a new whatsapp message via Siri whilst the phone is locked, but it says it won't let you whilst in the car. Not sure if hooked into CarPlay it will let you.
