Hi. Cannot get my head around it. car body seems to move/wobble side to side when i hit small potholes, or uneven surfaces, more noticable at low speeds. high speed 70mph doesnt feel right, slight wobble as well (steering wheel doesnt wobble), and sometimes i can hear front clunking when driving in town at 30mph, but not everytime. a lot of work has been dont to suspension over the last 2 years, new Sachs shocks and coils all round, front anti roll bar drop links, meyle hd big bushes on the front wishbone, new tyres balanced and 4 wheel laser alignment, engine mount replaced, inner and outer cv joints replaced.

any ideas anyone? cant be small bush on the wishbone? tie rod?ball joint? had my car raised and tried to wobble my front wheels, but seems to be solid...

    its BKC 1.9tdi touran.

    many thanks

shocks were already leaking and the rear coils had the bottom coil snapped, after all the work were done ,it was ok for a while. all of this suspension work was done a year ago...

To have problem like you describe,I expect something must be insecure,Is it possible to have the garage check their prior work and look out for
any other causes. One of the things I like about v.a.g. is the way they are so solid on the road when everything is right.
You could rotate wheels when risen a small amount to check for out of round tyres, which can cause similar problem to yours, but it would not cause the clunk.

get someone to rock steering back and forward with the car over a pit or on a ramp, you'll see how the rack is bolted on once under the car, and should be able to feel or see any play.
