    Hi All!

New to the forum, looking forward to getting to know you all.

I have an issue with the Car Mats for my Golf Mk5 Estate (2008). I ordered some online and the passenger side fits the clips but the drivers side doesn't. When I contacted the supplier they could not work out why they don't fit and have reimbursed me. Now before I go off and purchase some more I need to see if there is a problem.

I have measured the distance between the clips either side and have found that the clips on the passenger side are 34cm apart and the drivers side 32cm apart.

Would anyone be kind enough to measure their own car clips and the distance to check that this is a normal discrepancy or that in actual fact the clips in my car have been put in wrong at one time. As far as I can see there are no signs to show that these have been moved in the past or that the carpet interior has moved etc.

    Cheers!
    Rob

welcome to the forum. chances are that vw are actually right and the clips are where they should be, but the people that make the mats dont know,. i have had it twice, some 'tailored' to fit my 80 that didnt, and same problem on an s4. best bet is to get them measured before you buy, or go to vw to buy them, but i am sure someone will be along to double check your measurements.
