First noticed this on a long run from Bournemouth to Cornwall. Passing through Honiton area, mid afternoon, the radio came by itself. Switched it off, but the cycle repeated after about 15 minutes, and then again. At home now on my drive in the NW, I'm sometimes awakened by the radio playing in the car outside. Anyone got any clues as to what may be causing this. I believe there is an infotainment unit somewhere, probably in an inaccessible place, could this be the cause, or is the fault with the radio itself?

Leave a CD in the drive and it should stop doing it.

Well I never would have thought of that one. Thanks Crasher, sounds like you've come across this one before.

I know the feeling. We traveled up into North wales late one night, pulled into a layby, swiched off the key and went to sleep. The radio was left on as the key was still in the ignition and shut itself off after half an hour as it should. Anyway about 5.30 the next morning we were blasted into life by the first traffic report of the day. It would appear that the radio was in a sort of standby mode and as we had had the TA on it suddenly came to life. Didn't do the nerves any good at all!
