    Hi again,

I'm used to the traditional brake reservoir where the side of the reservoir is visible and you can see min and max levels.

Under the engine bay all I can see is the cap to add fluid, but can't see any indication as to the min / max level and also where the fluid sits.

    Any tips and tricks?

    Thanks!

not saying you shouldn't, but its in my 2006 A6 .................. lift the the plastic cover over the scuttle area and look at bottle

I think it has a sensor fitted anyway.

What does the manual say for checking ???

you could mark where it is just now and monitor it, it will go down slowly with the brake pads & discs wearing down, then when you renew them, pop back up
