    Hi

My front tyres wore very unevenly according to the service and so i asked for tracking to be done when i got the fronts replaced.

This report shows the before and after and appears to show that there is a significant camber on the front left that shouldnt be there?

    Can someone please advise if

    A) Is it significant and should I be concerned with how it is now?
    B) Should they have corrected it?
    C) Does it indicate a prang/major curbing?

I would appreciate if you could indicate you level of professional experience with this subject...

yes, it does have a slight bit of camber on the nsf wheel, but it is such a small amount that i really wouldnt be worried about it. camber wont cause tyres to wear though, not unless its silly amounts, but toe does, and thats now spot on. it could have had a small hit, a pothole would do that to it, not sure if its adjustable though. earlier golfs you could, by moving the ball joint in the wishbone.

obviouskly it would be nice to get both sides spot on. has it had a new lower arm on the side thats out, or a balljoint maybe. i dont think the holes in the arm are slotted for correction but it might be worth loosening them off and seeing if it will move, probably only needs a mm or so. generally though, if you park on a dead level surface , wheels straight ahead and look at the car from a distance, you will see if the camber is out as it will be obvious. i would just check that wheel over, loosen the 3 bolts and try and move the wheel in, and leave it at that..

The weight of the driver in the car will probably equal up the camber. This is why alignment should be done with the driver in, or the weight of the driver in the seat.

This needs moving to Golf 6 but I feel incontinent to do it without messing it up.

Anyway, where are the Caster figures, they are important?

    The factory specs

Some of the right camber which is OK could be shared with the left by shifting the subframe and consuls, add 15' neg to the right and it will take the left to circa -55' but you could pull -15' from the left shifting its consul in.

    Hi

I'm not a total expert but have seen a few of these and TBH I am surprised you had very uneven wear with the tracking only out by 0.10' Yes it is out but not really far enough to cause "very uneven wear"

You say it was reported according to the service. Did you see how bad it was?
