Whining Noise from engine

Hi I have a 2.0 TFSI B8 Quattro avant around 3 months ago the engine developed an annoying whining noise gets worse when accelerating. Took it to numerous garages within Bolton had feedback on it is the Turbo it's not could be fuel pump or not. Just had the water pump replaced as the last garage said it was this. No change. Any help would be great. One garage did say it could be timing chain however other garages said its not. Any help or vw/Audi specialists in around the Bolton area would be great love the car but this is annoying me thanks.

No oil cosumption sound is a whining almost belt driven noise

If it's a belt driven noise this video can help diagnose it. It's not the be-all end-all, but it may be enough to help you pin point the issue.
