My 2016 A6 Black Edition saloon (2.0 Diesel) is 9 months old with 8k miles and I'm experiencing a problem with some slight play / movement in the drivers seat. Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

I've got the S-Line variant seats in leather with the alcantera inserts. The seats are heated and have the memory option. The problem is that there is a very minor (left to right and vice versa) movement in the seat when going round corners even at low speed. I had the car into my local dealership and after 5 days / 2 visits they decided to replace the seat frame (under warranty). However it was only a short time before the issue returned and it is happening again now, same as before. The movement is only very slight but all the same really annoying and it feels like the seat is moving on the rails but it is only sideways

It's booked to go back in again to Audi but I'd appreciate any advice

First the replaced the rails then after a while they replaced the seat base.

Thank you, I appreciate the feedback. What's frustrating is that Audi are quoting 2 days for a seat rebuild and no doubt parts will be required which will further delay things

They took less than a day to do mine but that was a brand new seat base not a rebuild.

Mine does this too. It's 8 months old with only 6000 miles on the clock and has been doing it from new. A seat rebuild isn't a small job though so I've been putting up with it for fear of them damaging the car further when they do it.

Thanks for the feedback. My car is going back into Audi on Monday morning so I'll let you know what the result is. It's already had the seat frame replaced so it'll be interesting to find out how they address this

Just sold my May 2016 build A6 Allroad that had exactly the same issue. I packed either side of the seat base near the pivot point with a couple of black microfibre cloths each side. This cured about 95% of the movement. I did a few thousand miles like this and it was fine. Didn't trust my dealer to perform a satisfactory fix!!!

Now seems to be fixed. I had to go out with one of the master technicians as Audi couldn't identify the issue. They eventually agreed that there was an problem and this time have replaced the seat base and rails under warranty. So far so good

Mine just started squeaking when I corner or move my weight about in the seat. Going for a service soon so will get them to look at it.
