    My new car should be here soon enough and I'm planning on changing the badges to black and will hopefully paint the exhaust tips too.

    Can the exhaust tips be taken off without having to remove the bumper?

    I'm no expert, but I suspect not. Take a look at the first image in this post - it shows one of the exhaust tips, and you can just see two attachment points for it inside the bumper cover:

    Audi A6 MY17 Tow Bar Retrofit

    I assume you'd need to remove the cover to get to these?

    It looks like they can't be taken off without removing either the bumper or exhaust. Plastidip might be the way forward!

    I would say you have to remove the whole exhaust first, they are welded on. I would cut them off and weld on black tips as the chrome may be hard to prep possibly?
