Thanks for the trailer module coding. I have tried your coding but it didn't make a difference.

Could you supply either a full auto scan or the sections for the central electrics and convenience modules please.

Also, could you tell me the year of your car. I suspect based on the trailer module it's a pre facelift model.

    Thanks

    Hi Robert,

Thanks again for trying to help.

I don't think the modules are the same between facelift and non facelift though i am afraid so the coding is different.

I am also starting to wonder if its the coding in the 6D Trunk Electric module that needs adjusting instead.

Could someone with a 2015 avant face lift onwards that has the factory fitted swivel towbar please post an auto scan so that I can compare the coding.

Once I have it working properly I will post full instructions and pics to illustrate the install.

    Thanks.

    Hi RhysoTDI,

    Thanks for the suggestion.

I have a fully paid for legitimate version of VCDS that I bought from one of their resellers so I have been using that forum too but can't seem to get to the bottom of it.

Because the facelift is a fairly recent car they don't have label files for many of my modules which makes it a bit harder to diagnose.

What I really need is a scan of a 2015 onwards face lift with the factory swivel towbar so I can compare the scans

I've just fitted my towbar today and haven't had the software updated/VCDS programme the towbar however the LEDs on the release are lighting up green when stowed or clicked in place and red when not.
Maybe you need to check your wiring/fuses.

    Hi,

Thanks for the message. I've checked and double checked all wiring and fuses and they are all correct.

    Thanks for posting though.

Strange mine are working already and yours aren't. I put the fuses in and connected the battery and the LED lit up green instantly.

We will be using different trailer modules I suspect. What's the part number on your trailer module? Is it a genuine Audi part?

I'm using all genuine Audi parts with the exception of the wiring kit that I got from Wibutec - but that uses all the genuine Audi connectors.

    Part number is 4G8907383B
