Performance parts and audi warranty

Hi there

I have a 2016 TTS, so very much under warranty, I wanted to fit a performance air filter rather than the standard one, was told by audi main dealer, they do not and it will invalidate my car warranty
So I guess I have no choice but to do what they say, unless anyone knows better?

Yes if they find anything aftermarket engine, suspension, drivetrain they are well within their rights to refuse warranty.

And don't be tempted by a tuning box or remap either, the claim some give that they're "undetectable" is false.

I think that any modification can only effect/invalidate the warranty if it was proved that that was the cause of any issues ... for instance if you fitted an air filter and needed a wheel bearing under warranty I suspect it may be legally difficult for a dealer to refuse warranty ...
