No Blower or Aircon

It appears i have no Fan or blower at all on my A6 it is a 2006 3.0 TDI Quattro
i have scanned it and there are several faults showing

i have removed the air quality sensor and checked wiring, the wires seem ok, possibly faulty sensor.
i have removed the control head, all the connectors were tight, and no wires seem damaged.
so thought i would turn to the masters on here! anyone any idea what this is likely to be?
when i start the car the econ light is on, i can press the button and it goes off then back on, no blowers at all, though heated seats and setup all seem to work.
with the engine off the aircon and blowers will come on eventually and the econ light goes off if i press the button.

any help would be appriciated.

Can't help you with the fault codes I'm afraid as I haven't bought a vcds yet....however last Christmas my fan blower packed in...indications were that when it did sometimes work I occasionally heard a whirring noise coming from the fan area...and it intermittently didn't work...often when I needed it most!!!
I changed the fan blower and it worked fine after that. I recall reading that if your aircon light doesn't go out i.e. Working then it's something other than just the blower motor...that I can't help you with I'm afraid. There are far more experienced people that should hopefully chime in with advice.............. changing the motor wasn't too hard...the scuttle panel was an **** though.. anyway, on the bright side it's not too cold to need a heater and not too warm to need aircon ...

Maybe, it does blow if the engine isn't running though, so think its possibly something else, may need to pull the front bumper off and check the pressure switch.

Yeah...if it's blowing well without it running then your probably right..mine didn't make a difference re running or not ...good luck hunting!

The G395 pressure Sensor is known to cause trouble when its on its way out.

Remove the front plastic cover above the grill the sensor is on the passenger side.

Are they best replaced with genuine? Or euro car parts

Before you buy anything check that the wiring round the plug is ok and the pins are not corroded.

As for Geniune or other i personally thinK VAG parts are of low quality, there advertising will say different.

if your blower/fan is not working i would be checking the heater/blower resistor ,i have done lots of these on bmws with same symptons,although not on my q7,usually an easy job ,some call it a hedgehog,located inside the car around heater blower area ,google it for exact location.

Hi,

i had the same issue where the motor fan stopped working and i was at my wits end with this as i had no heating for about 3 wks i found out with the help of these fantastic people on the forum the issue, the motor fan and the resistor packed up bought from ECP and was quite easy to fit apart from removing the scuttle panel.
Change them two and you should be fine hope this helps
