Hi, can anyone help, my vxgolf mk4 won't drive faster than 5mph following a flat battery - I had no problems previous. Ive left the lights on, jumped started and now it has no power, won't rev - any ideas what is causing this? thanks in advance its 03 plate

Battery could do with charging fully before attempting to drive/start it again. The car might not be able to relearn the throttle body setting, especially if battery is less than fully charged. If it's got enough power from battery then it might adjust the throttle body if you give it the chance by turning ignition lights on (but not cranking engine over) and listen for high pitched noise from throttle body, around 10secs, until it stops. Then try and start. It can take a while to settle down after a few drives but shouldn't stop you driving.
A garage can realign the throttle body with a computer if it's still not right.
