Brand new member, and loving my A7.
Had her about a year, and very pleased. I know its been discussed before, but was needing to know next steps in activation SIM and Bluetooth together. wanted to get the Audi Online / Google Maps going, but can't loose Bluetooth. Have managed to get the Firmware upgraded under warranty by Audi Northampton (thank you, great service)
    From HN+DAB K009
    To HN+R_EU_AU_KO942_4

    This has been done today.

What is next step to getting it working please.
I don't want to randomly push buttons, as i nearly got stuck in Engineering menu a minute ago.

    Any help advise appreciated

I believe this is the procedure.... from the A6 part of the forum.

Once you’re in the hidden green menu, you want to drill down to diagnose/settings/tel_settings. Scroll down to “NAD operation mode” and enable it (default is for “NAD activation” to be enabled but “NAD operation mode” being disabled).
    http://www.edwardb.co.uk/audi/mmi/nad_operation.jpg

Then reboot the MMI by doing the three button press of MENU, central MMI knob and top right softkey.

When the MMI reboots, it should come up straight away with the option of which device to use to make calls.
    http://www.edwardb.co.uk/audi/mmi/select_device.jpg

Select which SIM you want to use (Bluetooth mobile phone) and the system will advise that it wants to do a restart. Select yes.
    http://www.edwardb.co.uk/audi/mmi/reboot.jpg

After the reboot you'll now have two signal strength displays at the bottom of the screen – one for the SIM card in the dashboard (data) and one for your Bluetooth mobile phone (calls).
    http://www.edwardb.co.uk/audi/mmi/two_displays.jpg

If you want to change the setting, you’ll find that its been added as the first option in the first level of “telephone settings” called “Make calls using.”

Now go and enjoy your car how it should have been on day one!

M1tchy. Thanks for the very quick reply. A few stupid questions from a new member (sorry).
How do i get to the hidden green menu?
Softkey i assume to be the ones around the MMI button that change functions.

Sorry to sound thick, but this has driven me mad for about a year, and the software upgrade i am hoping is the answer i have been looking for.
Then i will definitely enjoy the car the way it should have been build in the first place.

To get into the Hidden Menu, press and hold the CAR and MENU buttons for a few seconds. You may have to have a few attempts - if you don't press them at the exact same moment either CAR or MENU activates. You know if you have done it right because the red LEDs in the buttons do not illuminate.

If it doesn't work you may need the hidden menu enabling with VCDS

You may check your Telephone->Settings menu first, maybe the service already activated the NAD operation mode, and you have the option to select which SIM card do you want to use to make calls.

So for the first time, check this menu from M1tchy's post:

    http://www.edwardb.co.uk/audi/mmi/make_calls_using.jpg

And if this selection is there, simply select "Mobile phone" for the voice calls, and in this case that's all.

If the so called Green Menu was not enabled (it's NOT the Red engineering menu!) yet, then you need to look for the "VCDS locations" in this forum, and find a fellow member who will enable the Green Menu for you. Honestly, if you are not familiar with such things, it could be better to ask that memer to set the NAD operation mode for you to avoid misconfiguration.

Thanks both AT. and M1tchy. have tried to access the green screen today, and no joy. I think i need help with the VCDS activation. Is this an easy thing to do? Looking on here, i can't ask a local member to help yet as i haven't posted enough?

Yeah it's really easy, few clicks. Where abouts are you based?
