    any help is appreciated...

on the hunt for a pair of front bags and the shopping list is growing....

    front bags
    compressor refurb kit
    headlight cleaning kit
paint for bumpers / arch or get replacements in the same colour
    aerial replacement
    new number plates
cabin filter surround as mine has a small crack in it so dont want the carpets getting wet again
    new brakes all round
    full service
    refurb on the alloys
    towbar....

any help with the list is appreciated.... seen on eBay a repair kit for the front bags with the seals.... are these likely to go or will it 99% of the time be a torn bag?? missed out on a pair of bags for £130 grrrrrrr
Is the air suspension light flashing or on solid straight away?

if on solid we need the fault codes for module 34 - level control, don't buy any bags just yet

    regards

    Andy

will see if i can get a control box then, fitted a towbar to the touran myself so should be easy enough..... famous last words lol.

from memory.... the car was left in jack mode for a few days as i was waiting for the carpet to dry out and the front was low both sides so im assuming the passenger bag has a difinate tear as you can hear air coming out while in jack mode and the drivers side has gone down over a period of time but not checked yet to see if its a simple hose / something stupid issue here... started the car up and the clocks suspension light was on, took out of jack mode and tried to get the car up to max height so i can clean under the arches ready for doing some more work, compressor sounded a bit rumbly to start with but has got the car up to level 4 within 5 minutes i would say. the level light flashes until the desired height is reached and goes solid...

any further help regarding the air is appreciated. car is currently sat at level 4 on the driveway and has been since saturday afternoon.

Ok, then the suspension is actually working, the error light I refer to is the, yellow car with up and down arrow, if a fault is present this light will stay solid.

Ok now park at level 1, if it sinks at level 1, but not at level 4 its an airbag leak. I have new airbags if required. Whatever corner sinks the lowest has the leak.

    Best regards

    Andy

passenger front sinks straight away as when i put it in jack mode and took the measurements i could hear air escaping and could actually see it coming down the tape measure...

is each corner controlled independantly or are they paired on an axel? so will air escaping from the passenger bag give a route through for the air in the drivers side bag hence me having the front end on the bump stops and the car still being in jack mode??

basicly do i only need one bag or should i get two??

how much do you sell them for mate??

The corners are all independent, if in jack mode only the leaking corner will drop to the bump stops, the other corner will drop as it takes the cars weight.

I have pm'd details to you.

    Best regards
