My vin from 4B from the V5 is 4B85N027029.... does that narrow it down a bit? Or will the info be on the sticker in the boot?

right a quick question....

ive found a N version but the only difference bar the dates is the code under the main part number... mine is a H06 / S2222 and this one is a H05 / S2222 the same code appears above the barcode os 006 on mine and 005 on the one ive seen.....

does this matter? or is it a production line number as such????

If the P/N is the same, it will work, don't worry for the othe numbers.

Let me know if the car harness connector is also corroded, I have one at home.

got a bit of a furr around one connector but should clean up ok, will try to give it a clean tonight when i get back and let you know either way

RIGHT THEN!

New ecu fitted and all dash lights are out bar the air suspension light (both front bags have deflated) car seems to be still in jack mode so im assuming i need two new front bags.

New fault now..... had a dehumidifier in the car to remove the last bits of water from the sponge in the carpet and was using the interior sensor switch.... tried to turn them off last night and it wouldnt illuminate so when locking the car by fob or key the alarm is going off. If your in the car and doors closed with the engine running, if you open the drivers or front passenger doors the interior lights pulse, close front doors and open rears tge interior lights come on.... close the doors and switch off engine, if either the drivers or front passenger door is open the interior lights are on but when they fade to shut down / sleep the ccm clicks and they come back on and repeate the process....

Read on here about the loom joints down the drivers sill so replaced any suspect joints to no avail...

Anyone got any pointers?

For anyone else having this fault you need to get deep into the loom on the drivers side to find ALL of the joints..... problem solved!

Now need to get two new front bags haha

does anyone have a link or wiring diagrams for retro fitting a tow bar to the allroad??

found an original towbar that comes with the lead but its been chopped off the loom. will i need a converter box or can it go directly onto the loom??

any help is appreciated...

on the hunt for a pair of front bags and the shopping list is growing....

front bags
compressor refurb kit
headlight cleaning kit
paint for bumpers / arch or get replacements in the same colour
aerial replacement
new number plates
cabin filter surround as mine has a small crack in it so dont want the carpets getting wet again
new brakes all round
full service
refurb on the alloys
towbar....

any help with the list is appreciated.... seen on eBay a repair kit for the front bags with the seals.... are these likely to go or will it 99% of the time be a torn bag?? missed out on a pair of bags for £130 grrrrrrr

You will need a towbar wiring kit, Westfalia made the OEM towbar kit.
