Audi A8 3.0 Tdi 2010.

Anyone help please?
Got into the car this morning, pressed the ignition and noticed no lights or activity on the instrument console, started the car and drove off and saw that the console was not registering anything...speedo, rev counter, temp gauge or fuel. Indicators worked and showed, seat belt warning light and other symbols worked fine?
I am presuming it's not a fuse as it affects 4 different items? Any ideas anyone please.

Missing signal from CAN network more likely , which could be symptom of damaged fuse . Check them first but if fuses are ok , there can be loose connection somewhere and without diagnostic computer will be hard to indetify

Thanks, i'll check the fuses then. Taking it into Audi tomorrow for diagnostic but did'nt want want a huge bill for something possibly simple.
Had the car 3 years without issue. Don't know what a CAN network is or where to find the fuse...A8 virgin!

I am assuming that we are talking about A8 D4 version.

This picture show LHD version , obviously on yours will on otherside .

As well in boot you can see wall in front, you can pull that wall (it is kind of plastic wall) out and you will see more fuses with whole CAN network.

Say where you live , there is plenty user on this forum who owns proper diagnostic tool, including myself . They will be happy to help out .

I am in Worcester.
I think mine is a D3, last model with oblong headlights before the change in 2010?

Hi agian, very weird but after already retrying the ignition on 2 seperate occasions today I just tried again (without touching any fuses) and everything is back to normal, fully working?? Thank you for your help and advice but hopefully sorted, just need to understand why it happened in the first place?

Yeah it is D3 then , unfortunately i didn't own d3 so i wouldn't help you much. If it is back to normal then it means loose connection somewhere , or issue with instrument cluster , dying unit .
