    Hi all

I need some help from You As I mentioned earlier, I have the new MAP database, and everything is working fine, including [ONLINE] and all the rest of the services,

    EXCEPT

that the NAV does not starts up with the Google Earth skin, but it uses the standard screen, and waits until Google Earth loads itself fully from the internet. I checked the Green Menu, cleared the Google cache, restarted the GEMMI, did the navigation+telephone factory reset, but nothing happened.

It seems, somehow the Google cache became disabled, as I remember from the past, that the Google Earth skin was shown even there was no data connection. What I was able to find in the setup, that there is a "nocache_on" line in the Green menu configuration, but I was not able to find any clue, how can it be changed, or even if it is the problem or not.

Do You have any idea, what can be the problem, and how can I solve it?

Mine has always started up using the normal maps and once it's loaded, google drops in. Didn't know there was another way of it working

That's completely normal. Don't worry about it

    Thank you for the answers

I'm just wondering, because I remember, that there was a message on the Google Earth screen, that "no connection, Google Earth will not be updated" but the Google maps screen appeared. Also, I feel, that the loading became slower, as it could take about a minute or two until the Earth skin arrives.

It seems, I remember wrong Thank you

Well, now I remember, what is strange for me now:

    - until the MAP SW update the Google Earth startup screens was shown during the startup process and not the standard map, so it seems to be a feature to use the standard map until the skin loads and not a bug as I thought earlier. Thank you for the explanation, it's OK for now

    - however, I'm sure, in the past, if the cache was ready (for example after a stop - start to go), the GEMMI skin appeared almost immediately I'm sure, I don't had to wait until the Google message appeared completly in white, but the cached skin appeared on the screen when the "G" or "GE" became white. So here must be some problem for sure, as if I have to reload the skins, then it will take more time, and internet traffic.
    - now, if I remove the SIM card, the Google Earth overlay doesn't appear at all, but it appeared in the past without the SIM card, so there must be a problem.

Now I'm almost sure, something changed in my Google Earth configuration, however I was not able to find a complete help, what could I check. Anyway, it seems, the system loads itself for a very long time, it takes minutes to start up the GEMMI layout.

The only thing I found on the internet, that I have to stop Gemmi, and only select the "activate GEMMI (Persistent)" selection in the Green menu, but it didn't solved my problem, the cache stage is still "nocache_on" in the Green Menu, while this line was not there on that sample page.

By this, I think, I have some misconfiguration, so may I ask somebody to take a picture from the MMI \googleearth\console screen, mostly from the second page, where you can see the IP and resolver configuration?
