    Hello. I have noticed a potential leak in the front of the engine in my Audi A4 B7, 1.8T. Please have a look on the photo. The bottom of the car under the engine, under the part I marked on the photo seems to be oil wet. Can you please help me identify this element marked on the photo? This is where the oil comes from I think. Is it a bypass valve? Is this serious? Please advise. Many thanks.

    it looks like a sweat more than a leak

    it could be the clamps, maybe replace them with jubilee clips will cure it
    VW POLO 2002 1.2 12v , Audi A6 2006 2.0 TDi SE , Skoda Fabia 1.4 TDi

    All 3 cars in the current fleet

    Looks like the pipe coming from the diverter valve. it looks to have the factory clamps on it so I doubt it's leaking. More than likely the oil has come from a leaking cam cover gasket at some point in the past.
