Hi, just replaced off-side dipped beam bulb, and all seemed fine.

but when I drove the car the check engine warning light, came on after 1/4 mile.
    Car seems to drive ok.

I checked all the leads etc. of the things you have to take out to replace the bulb - and all connections seem ok.

Now the traction control light has also come on...

I don't have a fault code reader so might just call the AA.

    Any suggestions gratefully received

Odd, did you remove the airbox? If you did, are you sure the connection at the bottom of the airbox and the air flow meter are plugged in correctly?

    Hi, thanks for feedback.

Yes the air box removed ( top and bottom ), and the 2 pieces of the air inlet from the slam panel,
, and then outlet pipe from the airbox.

1 connection undone on the air box, and 1 connector undone on the air outlet pipe - but both reconnected.

Can only think something was jostled in the process, or something else was waiting to 'die' and just as a coincidence it died just as I had replaced the bulb......

Would disconnecting the battery wipe the system to see if the problem has gone?
If so - do you need to disconnect the battery for a minimum amount of time?

    THanks.

Fault fixed - or just gone away!

Left the battery disconnected over night,

Reconnected this morning and the engine management light went out pretty much straight away,
the traction control took a minute or so to go out.
