Thinking of Buying A5 3.0TDI - What do you think please?

We are thinking of buying a 2012/13 A5 3.0 TDI S-Line Sportback Tiptronic 5dr 201BHP engine and 130K miles on the clock.
Is this a bad idea?
It will get regualr short runs but also long motorway runs every so often...
Please share your experiences?

The multitronic gets a bad press and audi no longer use it. The newer cars all have s tronic or tiptronic. The 3.0 tdi is a great engine. If you do go for it, make sure it has been well maintained and gearbox oil changes done on time-neglect seems to be the biggest killer. Any doubts - walk away.

As has been said many times, the 3.0 is a great engine, will last for years if properly maintained - the big question on the above car is the gearbox.

Tiptronic takes 900Nm , S-Chronic can be fragile and over 10k to replace if goosed .

Ok so we are very serious about a 2013 80K on the clock A5 3.0TDI Quattro 245BHP with a S-Tronic box. We hope to test drive it soon, is their any thing specific we should look out for please?
