Hi all. I've got a 21 year old Golf MK2 and after it passed it's MOT in April with NO fails, I unfortunately had to declare it SORN due to an op.
It's been standing for 5 months and although it started first time, it's developed a knocking at the front. It knocks in time with wheel revolutions but when I release the steering wheel there is no drift at all.

I can however feel the knocking through the brake pedal, even though the brakes and handbrake are working spot on.

    Any help would be appreciated

It really sounds like your front brake discs are corroded, get the wheels off
and if they are not too bad ,clean off both sides of the discs and face up the pads.If they are badly scored -replace the discs and pads regards Tony.
