I have a 2005 MkV Golf 2.0 tdi 4motion that the rear caliper has started to sieze up on.....

I want to replace them as a pair but uncertain where is the best place to buy them from?

Not after uprating them as content with stock

Insist on new (not exchange) genuine TRW calipers, this is THE original manufacturer. VW say these calipers MUST NOT be reconditioned, even though TRW do themselves. Andrew Page (and sometimes ECP) are able to supply genuine TRW, make sure the part number DOES NOT have an E at the end. I get the TRW number as being BHS324 and BHS325. A nice thing to do is also buy new caliper carriers, BDA974 and BDA975 as these are a fraction of the VW price.

I'd be interested to learn the outcome of your search please. One of my calipers used to leave the handbrake on as the lever was seizing. I have lubricated it (twice) and worked it to free it off but it would be helpful to know the best source for a new caliper if it ends up seizing again. I switch summer/winter wheels and tyres twice a year so it is no hardship for me to lubricate the rear caliper handbrake lever at the same time.
