Audi Newbie

[A6Beginner]

Hi All,

Shafi here, bought a 64 plate Audi A6 Black Edition Ultra only a few days ago jumping from a VW CC. A positive difference in build quality for sure and liking the drive thus far.

Couple of questions if anyone more experienced with Audis can help out:
1. Anyone know any place where I can get a key/fob programmed? I mean, is it possible to get a key from eBay let's say and get it programmed to the car? Long story short, I only have 1 key at the moment.

2. Thinking of installing remote engine start, can anyone advise/recommend who can come out and do it?

Hi Shafi,

Welcome to the forum. If you post your questions in the A6 C7 sub forum you will get plenty of responses. As far as I know, only Audi can programme a new key. Not sure on remote engine start as I think it must involve bypassing the immobiliser. Perhaps one of the alarm companies.
