There is nothing wrong with the sound they are making. Not a fan of sound generating systems.

Yeah I have contacted Powerflow so i'll see what they say this week. Much rather have a proper system. Is it worth decatting them as such, I have no clue when it comes to the 3.0L Tdi. Is it part of the MOT?

    Thanks

It's dpf , currently the mot is just a visual and a relaxed 1.5 smoke opacity test .

Ah ok thanks. I'll get the cat back system done first then have a look after. Powerflow have said they can remap too but i'm undecided on that as of yet.

Your probably a bit far away, but I can recommend the following, local to me. He has worked on my cars (not audi but Subaru) and is able to provide Milltek systems.

Milltek Sports Exhaust - ADE Tuning

I believe he has worked on and modified exhaust systems on a number of A6 very recently, and could provide the solution you are looking for.

    Bit of an update:

Now back from Hols, went to see a local Powerflow supplier after they quoted me by email. Turns out that the rear mufflers do nothing really and don't really need to be there. They were very helpful and demonstrated the fact by unbolting the whole rear section. It was hardly any different! So it looks like I will just go a straight through system instead.
Thanks for everyones help so far.
After that I have seen they do a large front mount intercooler for them, so that might happen then a light remap.

    .
You may get more resonance/vibration at a certain rpm, or whilst actually driving. Keep this is mind. A well made silencer won't reduce the flow.

Yes good point, I did mention that too them. All OK on the ramp but under load it may be different.

Well its fitted and sounds pretty good, a slight deep note on start up and deeper at certain rpm, not droney or giving me any vibrations. Very happy!
