    Guys,

I am torn between these two and one from a fellow member on here.

Can anyone advise on these two cars in way of comparison.

Both sellers are telling me what i want to hear.

2012 AUDI A6 3.0 TDI QUATTRO S LINE AVANT FACELIFT AUTO AUDI HISTORY GOOD SPEC | eBay

    and / vs

    Audi A6 3.0Tdi Quattro Avant (C7) 245BHP S-Tronic Pan Roof 19"Alloys DAB RCamera | eBay

I suspect the latter to be the winner but i dont think it has the tech pack and massive miles.

The first one is an S-line so likely to have better seats/lights (and wheels) over the second which is an SE. For me I got an s-line because of the seats and lights which I find noticeably better...
But I also have a sunroof and reversing camera (like the second)... so depends what is more important to you!

I hadnt even noticed it wasnt an S-Line! bloody hell, i do like the S-Line but the first one doesnt have all the goodies like the other.

He has just told me i can have it for £16500, and has everyhing of an Sline bar the badges and the sterring wheel. i dont much clue on the these though

It's got upgraded wheels above s-line so I guess the most noteworthy s-line difference is the seats. Some people prefer the SE seats anyway!

If it was me I would go for the first, only because I could never live with a cream interior. Also not sure why the first car is advertised as a facelift, that came in 2015.

I seem tp recall there were several posts on here from owners who had problems with leaks and sticking mechanisms with the Panaramic Roof when it first launched. There were also those taken aback by the additional service cost (c£200 IFRC) for the roof. For both cars there should be 3 keys - 2 remote and 1 emergency. If you only get 2 keys then you should first contact the previous owner(s) and ask for the third key, if that fails then get the missing key removed from the car's memory

I'd avoid the big glass sunroof. As has been noted there have been issues reported. Also my experience with a similar roof in an A2 we owned put me in the "never again" camp.

I think the first one would be my inclination purely because the mileage is more reasonable. You need to really think about what toys you require and treat everything else as optional.
Personally the tech pack (specifically the bigger satnav screen and colour DIS) would be a must have.
Heated seats - at least in the front.
DAB - not a deal breaker but it did not become standard fit until 2013 / MY14.
A6 allroad BiTdi (MY14, July 2013 - DAB & power tailgate). Glacier white, tech pack (HDD Nav, colour DIS, Parking Plus), sports seats, 4 zone climate, heated seats front and rear, ambient lighting, 75L fuel tank, adaptive Bi Xenon headlights

My money would go on #1. Good spec, lower mileage, S-Line, cheaper price. Plus I'm not a fan of Dakota Grey - definitely an acquired taste.

The other thing I would add (in favour of option 1) is that having 18" wheels on an s-Line is not a bad thing.
It will soften the ride a little AND the cost of tyres will be a bit more reasonable - and these V6 quattros do have an appetite for tyres if you use the available power.

N8 BHC is an EU5 so there is no way I would drop umpteen £K on a car I won't be able to use in three years time, 12 (that must be a pricey plate) is now on a Merc so I can't tell what the emissions are on that one.
