Hi hoping someone can help. After the summer now need the heater. 1997 A4 saloon

Appears that the matrix, gets warm BUT only allows a trickle of warmth through. Have tried Radiator/cooling system flush with limited/little improvement.

Am told need to remove dashboard entirely!!!!!!!!!! to get at matrix and could be as simple as a dropped flap??? or need new matrix.

Has anyone encountered this problem and what did you do to solve it? Removing dash seems excessive any alternative methods.

Also how do you switch off the dash warning for oil/intermediate service as I do my own and don't have audi to switch it off

Hello and welcome. We need some more info on your car such as the year and engine and does it have climate or normal (or no) air conditioning?

OK, you need to get a fault code read done on the HVAC system (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning), which is system group 08 in VAG terminology, to see if you have a problem with the temperature control flap motor. The "In1" bit means it needs an intermediate service referred to as Inspection 1.

I had a similar problem on my blower (no air con fitted to my car) and it turned out to be the pollen filter needing changing.

    £5 and 5 minutes work.
