    Hello!
I am fairly new to this forum. Well, I have used it extensively for the last 5yrs but have always found the answers to my issues so never really needed to post...

I have chosen to ask for help on this forum as there are already several excellent threads on a similar topic so made sense to ask here.

I have an Audi A6 Avant. 3.0tdi Le Mans. Lovely and all has been trouble free. Recently someone ploughed into wrecking the passenger side doors and hinges etc. All repaired and seemed okay until the weekend...
The CD changer stopped working and the radio followed suit.
Now the Cd changer works for about 30seconds before making a buzzing sound for a few seconds and hen a high pitched whine. Sometimes it says CD chnager is initiallising but at that point the display on instrument cluster says what CD is in etc.
The Radio just says 'There is no radio installed' or occasionally 'Please wait...'.

I have reset MMI. No difference.
I have scanned with VCDS. No fault codes on auto scan.
I have carried out optical test and all components and electrically and optically OK, apparently.

when I go in to Supp Codes in the Radio, Control module or CAN gateway, there are loads of stored fault codes.

I have also carried out the output tests. No issues found and all speakers working well.

No where is there any Component Protection codes logged either - I used to have one in the subwoofer but sees audi cleared that at last service.

Any help? Ideas on what to try next?

My 2 hours of commute are less enjoyable!

The Nav and Phone and bluetooth are all working as usual.

    Thanks in advance...

    Aaron.

    Fixed!

No issues found over several scans and testing the optical loop.
So, despite software being the latest 5570 version, i splashed out £8.14 on the update discs, activated the hidden menu (and battery meter whilst i was at it) and got in with update. It informed me nothing needed updating. I tried again ans still nothing would update.
Disc removed but radio is back and cd player working again! Its been okay for 24hrs including a 90min drive so fingers crossed.

Hope update helps someone at some point!
