My girlfriend has just bought a new TT, 2006, (2007 MY). I wanted to programme a spare key for her and also read the epprom so that I could swap the cluster at a later date if needed like I have done on my brothers A3 2003 (2004 MY).

I have a genuine copy of vagtacho so I was able to complete the eeprom read and clone the cluster and pin read on the A3 but it wouldn't allow the same on the TT.

So... I bought a genuine Carprog with the Audi TT 2006 - 2008 software. The software connected to the cluster and then it told me to turn off the ignition. On turning the ignition back on the clocks failed to light up. I worried that this has now wrecked the cluster. As anybody had any similar problems? Is there a safe way of getting the pin from the ECU so that I can adapt a new set of clocks.

I've got a genuine Vagcom as well so I can swap clusters if I had the pins.

I hope somebody can help.
