Yes - It's definitely not a race track or fast route, it has its quicker stretches but more one to potter along and take in the scenery and fine seafood.

Any of the road from Dumbarton to Glencoe is a good scenic route. Can be a bit tight if any of the road between the hillside and the water around Loch Lomond is being repaired.

Definitely the North 500. Nothing touches it for scenery and driving experience. B&B can be a bit difficult to get, so book well in advance. Take a long weekend or 3 or 4 days through the week. No matter what time of year.
