So I've had an intermittent issue of my EPC and traction lights coming on and a slight loss of power/ autobox wanting to stay in lower gears.
I used my OBD2 reader and there was one single code of P2138 which is throttle/pedal position sensor/switch D/E voltage correlation.

So likely culprits are throttle position sensor, or crankshaft position sensor from what I've read.

Thing is, the fault has now gone away and the code is gone too?

So just for fun I've taken my throttle body off and cleaned it.
    It's.
Now clean, but should it have a gap around it when the flap is closed??

I've refitted it now as I've got to drive the car to the garage for a new exhaust.
I'll ask them about it when i go there.

Ok. So it's still an issue, but at the moment seems ok.

Having read up a bit more on this I'm beginning to think that this is some kind of moisture within the ECU that's causing the problem.
Especially as it rears its head when there's been torrential rain or when I've jet washed the car.

I'll take the cover off the ECU and check to see if anything is getting in.

Mine was a broken ecu cover. There was loads of water in the ecu box.
bought a new one and fitted it. No problems since.
make sure you get the correct one. For example the a4 b7 tfsi is a different shaped lid to the a4 b7 Tdi.

    hope this helps.
