early 2.0tfsi question

hi all I have been doing quite a lot of searching as regards the high oil usage on the 2.0tfsi engine . now am I right in thinking that this problem is mainly on the 2008 to 2011 engines . I am looking to buy an 06 /07 a4 avant . I would really appreciate any info on this engine thanks in advance

I have an 06 tfsi avant and it doesn't use a significant amount of oil.
My previous Mazda RX8 used quite a bit in comparison.

I've got an 07 plate 2.0L TFSI Cab, and do get through a lot of oil - I reckon a 4L can every year, over 6k miles ?

Dealer says that is 'normal', but the cost to investigate it is more than the cost of putting a bit more oil in ...

I get through about 1.5 litres a year in mine

What sort of annual mileage do you do for that ?

I do service every year so about 5000 miles.
