    Morning all.

Having spent years in the Rover and Saab game, I've always had copies of technical manuals.

A newbie to the Audi scene - does such thing exist? I'm not trying to get hold of pirate copies, but if I knew what I was looking for I could see if there was a getting hold of it!

    Thanks. Andy.

Try a Google search for Elsa and I think you will have what you need.

If you don't want to go pirate by using ELSA then there is https://erwin.audi.com/erwin/showHom...05.ASTPERWEU01 but it can get expensive

Also if you do want Elsa you will need quite a lot of hard drive space.

I use the Bentley manual for my car. It covers Audi A4 1986 - 2001 1.8 litre turbo and 208 litre, including Avant and Quattro. See: http://www.bentleypublishers.com/

It covers AEB, ATW, AWM, 1.8 litre and AFC, AHA, and ATQ 2.8 litre engines.

They are big books, and prices for printed versions are quite high, especially with postage from the USA, but I got mine, new, on Amazon for £48.

Bentley manuals are also available on DVD/ROM, but are expensive, and not available for Windows 10 when I last enquired, in Feb last year.

Mine is primarily for US market cars, but covered almost everything I have needed to know up to now, and if in doubt I have asked specific questions, and obtained authoritative replies on this Forum

For quick reference I use the Haynes manual for A4 1995 to Feb 2000, which is smaller and easier to check, but does not have anything like as much information.

I also use the Bentley manual for my VW T25 Syncro camper, which is really the only decent manual available for it.

My son has a VW Transporter 7H and told me he downloaded all the available service information for it from erWIN in one short paid-for session.

Maybe Crasher can confirm that this is possible, or if he will have just basic stuff?
