    Hi all,
I have a strange problem with one of the key fobs. It stopped working (no low battery warning or similar) but not entirely... Every now and then it will actually unlock/lock the car (2 out of 10 maybe. When it does not work, there is no light indication on the fob itself. A quick scan shows this:

    Software version: 0046
    Hardware version: H40
    Serial number: 2313000071043014

    Trouble codes:
00955 - Key 1 Lower limit not reached
    Intermittent

BTW I do not have advanced key - it is the "normal" one.
Any ideas? (I will change the battery just in case but that was done relatively recently so not much hope)

I replaced my battery recently because of an almost identical fault. Since then, everything has been fine. I hope you get yours fixed soon.

Thanks chaps, replaced the battery and so far so good! Interesting as the last time around I had a nice warning on the dash that it was low... Ah well... It is nice when simple things solve the problem!

    Sent from my mobile...

I noticed in mine at home it was fine but at work it was a struggle even to get the car to unlock with a new battery. There's a lot of radio interference and at work there's a mobile mast so most folk I know needs to be next to their car before they can unlock. So with a weak battery the interference is going to play havoc with these keyless type remotes.
